Wanting some info. for the smokey River. launching Hwy.43 Bezanson,wondering how far upstream can I go. piloting: thunderjet, any information would be great. |

You can go almost to Grande Cache if you have enough gas. There would be a few tricky sponts but not too bad. Seriously it is good running all the way to the Cutbank a ways above Smokley flats. 80 miles give or take. _________________ Mark

Thanks Mark . Another Question pls. any place upstream other than Hwy.43 Bezanson. a guy can launch ?cutbank is where I like to head to,or the flats,Elk hunting! Todd. |

You can launch on the Smokey river by going about 35km south of G.P. on hiway 40 to the Canfor road. Turn left ( East) and follow road to the bridge, after crossing the bridge, take first right and follow into the Smokey Flats campground. Good launch there, about 40 minutes to the Cutbank river, about 15 minutes past that is the Kakwa river, after that is the chutes! Good action to be had there! _________________ It was like that when I got there! |
