just noticed Dale and Pepe haven't been updating anything...s I will attempt to fill you folks in....day 1...Ryan or Pepe didn't start...Ryan had the turbine running earlier in the week but when he got the fuel and a chance to run it again it would not start...they worked on it for 2 straight days and no luck.
Pepe and Estuardo had problems with the engine and did not start the race either.I noticed NZ has a great race site with info as alot of the boys are here to root for the reigning champ...James....he is running well with no glitches to date. Leg 1 went well for everyone top 4 boats were...James...Gord...Rob and Frank....leg 2 coming back to bacalar Rob lost 15 in as he got out to start and it wouldn't fire...Leo kept the boat floating behind the start line...a quick msd box change...not it...and then noticed a wire in the coil was loose...quick fix and off only to pass quite a few of the boats that had left before him in the skinny channels. Now the order was James...Gord...Christopher Cortez...Frank?...and Rob in 7th....end of day 1

day 2 consisted of 3 legs...Bacalar-Chetumal Chetumal-Bacalar circuit race in the lagoon at Bacalar
on the was to Bacalar ...Gord broke his pump...well good thing the NZ van...with a few of us in it went over to see how the boys were making out in Chet...they had a spare pump...well...allot of the guys pitched in and switched the pump in record time...Gord got away about 15 min after everyone but was still in the race...thanks NZ gang.
every one made it back to Bacalar...and then the circuit race...all went well there also...oh I forgot for those of you who know gill and Diego...they lost oil first day and got back in the race for day 2...
The boys are out bright and early as we have traveled to the Usumasinta rive to race tomorrow...the boys are out pre-running in the new Bratt Jet...all the rapids...I will be in the boat tomorrow taking picks..will post some right away
