Wrap your head around this little nugget, Step-tec delta pad, 1/2" keel, variable degree, 3/8 steel intake protection, UHMW bow and keel protection, Chine extrusion, HD side hull stiffeners, Hamilton 212 pump powered by a CORVETTE LS3, And a bow area that you can get to via a flush bow lid!

It says Steptec Delta pad can you explain how this differs from other steptecs or was I missing something all along , does it change the degree of the hull ?

Rapid, Yes it is a delta pad step-tec. Basically the same idea but instead of a radius center keel it has a delta pad center keel to allow room for the massive intake of the hamilton.
It has a variable degree bottom wich is 16 dgrees at the transom and 20 degrees at the delta pads tip.

at the start the varable deadrise hull (20-16 deg) was darting and bow steering a way too much, like all varable deadrise boats do. but we've been cutting and moding the bottom and pump to where i can live with it now. it does still bow steer but not as bad. it will run 65MPH with one guy and 25gal of fuel. fastest i've ever hear of a Hamalton 212 running. we still have some work to do to get the bow to come up, but it runs the shallow water great, and with 1300 pounds of people and gear handles as very well still and can still hit 60 MPH. i think the next boats we build like this will be a full 20deg dead rise though.

We have had a lot of 212's go this fast with modern engines and lighter boats.
All a 212 needs is a good hull shape and HP.
Great boat would be better with a non variable 20 degree with radius or delta.

I really like that boat.
How different would the boat be with a zz4,sd309, ez/clean and .....a pump gaurd ?..and maybe a heater for our arctic excursions.
