Not sure what issues you've read about, but I've had 3 sport jet boats and love them. Current one has 550 hrs on it with no issues.

Possibly the jets are plugged, mine used to do it, mainly in the fall. Wide open throttle or idle , nothing in between.Get a can of compressed air , remove the airbox and blow them out. See what that ...

Everyone I know, myself included runs the Hi-screw and they work really well

We use 10 gal lined barrels, got ours at the local Shell bulk plant

for sure, tough giving up my play time lol , but she needs to be able to run the boats home from any sketchy spot I take them should something happen to me.

First run she spun out and we were on bottom, second run blew the corner (pics), third run made er through lol.

I had the same type of mods to my bucket. the plated worked way better for me. Just my experience.
